Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Fare Weave. If you're a minor in your country, you may only use the app with a parent or guardian's consent. By using the app, you confirm you meet these requirements.
Account Registration
You can create an account only using Google Sign-In or your mobile number (verified by OTP). By registering, you're responsible for keeping your login and device secure, and for all activity under your account.
Description of Services
- Personal Expense Management:
- Recording, categorizing, and tracking personal income and expenses.
- Viewing personal expense history and reports.
- Group Expense Sharing:
- Creating groups (e.g., family, roommates, trip groups, colleagues) and adding members.
- Adding shared expenses and splitting them equally among group members.
- Tracking who owes whom and recording settlements between members.
- Note: Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the App is a tracking and calculation tool only. It does not itself transfer, hold, or process money between users, and is not a bank, payment processor, or money transmitter. Any actual payment or settlement between members must occur outside the App (e.g., via bank transfer, UPI, or a third-party payment service) unless a specific integrated payment feature is offered, in which case Section 8 (Third-Party Services) applies.
- Analytics & Reports:
- Automatically generated monthly reports summarizing personal and group spending, category-wise breakdowns, and trends.
- Reports are generated using the data you and your group members input and may include estimates or approximations.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that expense calculations will always be accurate, since they depend on the information you and other users enter.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fare Weave is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any dispute over unsettled balances between users.
Termination
- You may delete your account at any time through the App settings.
- You may be required to settle any outstanding balances or pending settlements before deleting your account.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any reason with reasonable notice, except where immediate termination is warranted (e.g., illegal activity).
- Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases, though certain data may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy or as required by law.
- Deleting your account does not automatically remove historical shared expenses, settlements, balances, or other financial records that are necessary to preserve the accuracy of group financial history. Certain information may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION/STATE/COUNTRY], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes to these Terms
Changes We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the changes.
